If you've recently upgraded your Form-U-Share software, and noticed that your special reports seem to have disappeared, there's probably a quick and simple way to get them back.
Odds are, if you've had this occur, you are using XML material groups, most likely because you are using locations. With XML material groups turned on, FUS-2 will allow you to have different special reports for each location. It also stores the special report setting in a special report table instead of the old ASCII files. You can tell if you are using XML material groups by looking int he bottom left hand corner of FUS-2, in the status bar, where it says 'Automatic'. If there is an 'X' under 'Automatic', then you are using XML material groups.
The reason your special reports aren't showing up is because FUS-2 is looking in the table for the report data and not the old ASCII files. Getting those files back is very simple. If you click File|Edit Special|Import Special Reports, this will pull the special report data from the ASCII files and put it into the special report table for your location.
If you have multiple locations, you will need to do this import for each location. Importing the reports will overwrite any changes that have been made to reports in the table, so you'll only want to do this once for each location.
After you import the reports, you can make changes to your special reports at one location without affecting the special reports at another location.
